Response to the Referendum Result

100 Story Building continues to stand in solidarity with First Nations communities and their ongoing calls for action and change, and we thank all of those who lead the way in advocating for the importance of First Nations culture, respect and agency.

We understand how deeply the Yes23 movement was inspired by wanting to create better opportunities for this generation and future generations of First Nations children and young people, and by a goal for them to “walk safely and proudly in two worlds.” We will continue to listen, learn and act to support this vision.

There are many First Nations youth-led and childrens’ organisations whose work we can all support now, who hold Indigenous knowledge systems at their centre and strive to lift up young people. You can learn more about the change they create everyday and lend your support by visiting Seed Mob, NIYEC, Children’s Ground, and VACCA.
