We are currently seeking Casual Workshop Facilitators

Rate: $45/hour + super, paid travel time as per organisational policy

Round 1 - Submissions due Tuesday 25th Feb 11:59pm (EST) with first round interviews on Friday 28th Feb.

Round 2 - Submissions due Tuesday 25th March 11:59pm (EST) with second round interviews TBC.

Successful applicants will be invited for interviews, with training and workshops commencing in March and April 2025.

How many casual hours is 100 Story Building offering with this role?
As the position is casual, it largely depends on the number of bookings. Typically, facilitators are scheduled for a minimum of 4 hours at a time and the frequency can vary throughout the year—busier during school terms and quieter during holidays etc. We do our best to give advance notice of bookings so you can plan accordingly.
Is there time paid for preparation, admin, etc, or are only the delivery hours paid?
Facilitators are paid for workshop delivery, admin, preparation/resourcing hours and an allowance for travel in line with our policy. If you're hired, we will take you through the policy as part of your induction.
How many casual facilitators are you hiring?
At this stage, we're looking to hire 2-3 casual facilitators and this may change throughout this year depending on the number of bookings we receive.
What are the physical requirements of the job?
The role is versatile but does require facilitators to be able to bump in and out workshops in schools and in the 100 Story Building space as needed. Workshops will require standing and/or sitting for longer periods of time to present work to children. Often physical games and activities are incorporated in workshops. Applicants will need to consider the physicality of the role before applying or have a plan in place on how you will meet these requirements.
Do you need to have a car?
No, we support our facilitators to catch public transport or ride share as much as possible. We also have an account with a car share company, so you can borrow a car if you are travelling further afield.
