OCTOBER NEWS | Escape Time

Image description: Next to the official logo of the Yes23 campaign, in black text on a pale yellow background, is a quote from Dr Jackie Huggins AM: "Messages are passed through story, and storytelling has been at the heart of our culture since time immemorial. So please, talk to your family, neighbours, community and colleagues, share stories of our strength and solutions, and together we can create a future where our people are respected, listened to and treated with dignity."

Time to escape!

It's a huge month for 100 Story Building with three seperate launches in the next thirty days!

The escape-themed Early Harvest book Write Fight Flee! launches on 28 October at the State Library of Victoria, and you’re invited! (RSVP now, as space is limited.) Plus two of our new Story Hubs are officially opening in October - we'll share some photos next month. Both those programs, Early Harvest and Story Hubs, are accepting expressions of interest from schools for next year.

Really there’s no escaping the stories and ideas of young people this month - but we wouldn't have it any other way.

Also in our October enews: the Early Harvest program is featured in Teacher magazine; another of our Definitely Normal Human Writers has been published in The Westsider; Susan and Jess visit Story Factory in Sydney; our books and boxes are on sale at the Purpose Precinct at Vic Markets; and we farewell our colleague Colin Craig, while welcoming new faces Jenny Tran and Jules Coscolluela.

It’s also the Voice referendum on 14 October, and we hope you’ll join 100 Story Building in voting Yes. (Read our full statement about the referendum here.)
