The Epic Toy Fiasco!

A Choose Your Own Adventure by Rufus (Warrane Primary School, TAS)

We went on a choose-your-own-adventure across the Bass Strait with Warrane Primary School, based in Tasmania!

As part of a series of professional learning workshops delivered to the ALEA Tas South network of schools, students undertook our pre-recorded creative writing workshop. Through the session, students created choose-your-own-adventure story paths with multiple endings.

Students were encouraged to reflect on what engages them as a reader and use that reflection as a basis to critique their own writing. This also included students reading their fellow classmate’s stories and provide feedback.

Here’s an example of one of the choose-your-own-adventure stories created by young writer Rufus (start at page 1 in the above image!).
