Students celebrate RISING Festival's “Parade for the Moon”.

In support of RISING Festival, an annual “surge of art, music, performance and ceremony in the heart of Melbourne”, 100 Story Building collaborated with artist James Nguyen and the students from Footscray Primary to develop costumes made completely out of WEARABLE POETRY.

Responding to the moon as a central theme, the children started by listening to the sounds of the night. They then shared memories, drew landscapes and expressed themselves through lines of poetry. This inspiration was then collected and transformed into “costume-wings” for performers in roller skates to dance around under the moonlight.
