The quest begins for our new CEO

 
 

Recruitment for the next 100 Story Building CEO opens today 

“On behalf of the Board of 100 Story Building,  I am proud to announce the start of our quest for a new CEO,” said Board Chair Sandeep Varma.  

“100 Story Building has helped over 35,000 children and young people find their stories. We’ve made a big impact to disadvantaged youth, and to creativity in schools. Over the last few years, we’ve grown and are in a strong position to announce the release of the recruitment pack for our next CEO.” 

“As a social enterprise and a non-profit organisation that works across Victoria, 100 Story Building is looking for someone to step into our most senior position.” 

“The next 100 Story Building CEO is a leader with human skills, the ability to forge meaningful relationships, business smarts, an impact mindset and a big heart.”  

“We are asking friends, supporters, advocates, partners, funders, community members, recruiters and anyone else we know to help us reach out and find that special individual who is waiting to hear about this unique, impactful role,” said 100 Story Building Board Chair Sandeep Varma.

Applications open 25 February and close on 25 March 2021.  


A farewell season to Lachlann Carter

100 Story Building today also shares the news that much-loved CEO and Co-Founder Lachlann Carter will be leaving his role as CEO at mid-year. 

“Lachlann resigns after an amazing ten years of impact-focused work, leaving an incredible legacy within communities, schools, teachers and with thousands of young people through his work at 100 Story Building,” said Board Chair Sandeep Varma.  

“Lachlann’s passion for making change in the social enterprise sector, his personal approach and his exceptional executive and operational skills have put 100 Story Building in a great position for the future, ready to scale for even greater impact.” 

“We will miss his presence in the building, and are planning a series of public and internal thank you events and opportunities for Lachlann to share his reflections on his journey over the coming months.”

“It has been such a privilege to help 100 Story Building grow from an idea 10 years ago to a thriving social enterprise. My life has been enriched by the passion and energy that the 100 Story Building extended family has brought to our work, and by the incredible ideas, imagination and curiosity of the young people we work with,” said100 Story Building CEO and Co-Founder Lachlann Carter. 

“I’m going to miss this place immensely, but can’t wait to watch from afar as it enters this new exciting chapter.”
