Planting Literary Seeds
So those emerging writers are everywhere these days, but have you heard about emerging editors? No? Well let us introduce you to the talented Early Harvest Editorial Board. A group of upper-primary students from five schools in the inner-west of Melbourne ran, that's right, RAN, into the Early Harvest workshop yesterday, so keen were they to get started on creating a literary magazine. And not just any literary magazine. Early harvest (the magazine) will be a shiny, colourful, fun-filled publication containing work from both young people and not-so young people. How do we know? Cause that's what the editorial board told us it would be!Between now and September, these keen-eyed young editors will work with professional writers, illustrators, editors, designers and others to conceptualise, create and publish early harvest. We can't wait to see what they come up with (and which famous authors they may/may not be interested in publishing), but if you can't wait until the launch of Issue 2 in November then get your hands on the first early harvestnow!
