Meet Vivien & Dominic 100 Story Building’s new Interns!
We are thrilled to welcome two Interns who will be joining us for 3 months. Vivien and Dominic are both completing their Masters of Arts & Cultural Management at University of Melbourne and will be in HQ 2 days a week. Dominic will also be joining the ‘Normal Human Writers’ secondary after-school group on Tuesdays and Vivien will be lending a hand with our primary group ‘Creative Club’ on Thursdays. If you see their smiling faces around the building please say hi!
So let us introduce you properly and share a deep insight into their personality based on a quiz from our recent Early Harvest book Two-Faced Tales!
Vivien Pan is currently a Master of Arts and Cultural Management student at the University of Melbourne. Beyond the foundational knowledge of management and marketing gained from her academic studies, her love for creating and promoting visual art has led her to becoming the co-curator and social media manager for PANCAKE, an artist-run initiative that holds exhibitions with artists from diverse backgrounds.
Her past work also extends to education as an academic tutor and centre assistant at Kumon, where she built strong rapport with young learners to foster confidence in their studies. In combining her two interests, Vivien found herself at 100 Story Building and is excited to learn and help with the organisation’s continuous work on empowering young people’s creative voices.
Through reading the ‘Two-Faced Tales’ Early Harvest book, she discovered that her betrayal/survival personality is a lion, as she finds herself doing what’s best and helping others in need.
Dominic Cheng is currently studying a Master of Arts and Cultural Management at University of Melbourne. He's into creative writing and visual art, and has a vision to establish an artists collective based in Melbourne, which supports independent creators to share experiences and co-create work.
His past work in Three Shadows Photography Art Centre, an art organisation based in Beijing, extended his practical skills in the field of public education. Dominic enjoys interacting with various audiences and building connections. It is these skills that Dominic brings to 100 Story Building and he is also excited to work alongside young people in the after-school program.
Diving into‘Two-Faced Tales’ book and landing in a personality quiz written by the young editors. Dominic feels that his betrayal/survival personality is possibly a Lion, as he likes to be the hero and helps others in need!
