Unboring Exploring: Meet the editors

We are delighted to introduce the editorial team that have put together the adventure-themed Early Harvest book for 2020: Unboring Exploring.

Every year, as a part of our Early Harvest program, we publish a children’s fiction book that is edited by a panel of young editors. This year, the young editors, who are all in Year 5 and 6, met every Saturday over Term 3 to select, select, edit and publish this collection of short stories.

The editors, who reside in neighbourhoods as far apart as Dandenong and Mt Macedon, met every Saturday for 11 weeks to discuss and decide what stories to publish (out of 125 submissions), select a title, brief the designers, commission the cover and other illustrations and determine the mood of the book.

Early Harvest is a dynamic program for upper-primary students that gives them an in-depth experience of the publishing process.
