Discover the new SUPERFOOD!

You’ve made a very important scientific discovery when you tried eating a vegemite, sardine and ice cream sandwich.

Recount your discovery in the form of a short speech for the press conference you’re about to give explaining it to the world. Why did you try eating that thing in the first place? What happened when you did? What does this mean for THE FUTURE OF HUMANITY!!

Teacher Tip: This writing activity is a fun and engaging way for children to practise recounting events. You could combine it with a lesson on the use of words such as first, then, eventually, in the future, finally, lastly.

Write or audio/record your response, and email it to us at info@100storybuilding.org.au and we will share it in our weekly round up of stories.

Things you need for this activity:

  • If you are writing, pen / pencil and a paper

  • If you audio / video recording, a smart phone or other recording device

  • And your imagination!

Follow our #GetCreativeKids series on social media for activities to get children creating characters, building stories, making up new words and giving lateral thinking a go!
