Collaborative Story Writing
Looking for a creative activity to keep your children engaged during school holidays?
Get them to create a collaborative story. Here’s how to do it:
Write the first few sentences of a story on a piece of lined paper.
Hide the start by folding it away and get one of your children to continue from your last sentence.
Now hide his contribution except for the last line, and pass it on to the next young one.
Continue until you are ready to read your collaborative work.
We’d love to see your work. Share it with on social media with the hashtag #100SBStoryMakers, and we’ll find it. Alternatively, you can email it to us at info@100storybuilding.org.au or message it to us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
Parents & Teachers: This activity is a great activity to engage children in a quick, collaborative creative writing activity as the threshold for starting is low.
