New partnership with the Department of Education Victoria to enhance Victorian teachers’ capabilities

Melbourne, Victoria, Monday 8 Jan — 100 Story Building is excited to announce that the Department of Education Victoria have generously provided a grant of $85,000 for the Story Hub’s Sparking Creativity teacher professional learning program as part of the Department’s Strategic Partnerships Program (SPP) 2024 - 2025

This two-year partnership will build teachers’ capabilities in using creative pedagogies and increase their confidence to support student creativity and writing.

Through the program, teachers from under-resourced schools in low socio-economic communities will be able to access online education resources through a digital resources hub, coaching sessions, lesson planning support, annual conference, and a growing community of teachers and creative practitioners via the 100 Story Building’s Story Hubs network of schools across Victoria.

“We look forward to working with the Department and the school community to spark creative learning into their school environments, empowering teachers and students to reimagine literacy and creativity, and lift student learning outcomes and agency,” said 100 Story Building CEO Susan Kukucka.

More than 100 primary and secondary teachers from across Victoria participated in 100 Story Building’s Story Hubs program in 2023, with expectations for over 120 teachers to participate in 2024 and 2025.
