We are halfway through our exceptional celebration of Early Harvest: 10 Year Fest. We feel so lucky to bring together a bunch of incredible authors and illustrators to share their secret powers and love of storytelling with children and young people online and at 100 Story Building HQ.
Holly Adkins inspired budding artists with a fun online workshop on creating comic characters. Last Sunday, Kate Moon shared her remarkable talent for portraiture with a full house of keen young illustrators.
Coming up this Saturday 12 March, our SUPER DUPER HEADLINE EVENT - STORY SLEUTHS: 10 YEAR QUEST. Join beloved local author Alice Pung and the 100 Story Building team on a wild and wacky scavenger hunt through the magical wonderland of Footscray! Featuring group games and creative activities, we'll be revisiting the fantastical themes of past editions at every stop along the way. This is a free event for young people and those young at heart.
Then on Saturday 19 March, epic mural artist Heesco presents a hands-on workshop on Creative Collaboration and bestselling author of the Real Pigeons books Andrew McDonald will get kids exploring and embracing the power of weird in their writing!
