Launch

Editors, authors and artists of all ages, as well as their families and friends, last Saturday descended on Yarraville’s beautiful Sun Theatre foyer in a big bespectacled crowd for the launch of early harvest.

This inaugural issue of the magazine was launched by award-winning author and contributor to early harvest Sally Rippin, who spoke of the uniqueness of submitting a story directly to her target audience. Her verdict: a richly rewarding experience.

The crowd, which flowed out the doors onto the street, were treated to readings by some of early harvest’s young authors, and a short talk by Eliza and Sybilla, two of the young editors, sharing some of their experiences putting the magazine together. As with all launches, the usual flourish of magazine signings followed, however with almost fifty contributors to early harvest, as well as all the volunteer workshop presenters, tutors, editors and proofreaders, we’re talking some serious mass scribbling.early harvest is now available for purchase, as well as at these wonderful bookshops. Pick up a copy today! It is chockfull of amazing stories, poems, comics, illustrations and activities.
