100 Story Building mentor, Britney, interviews this year's Early Harvest editors.
Britney: Hey! Can you please introduce yourself and one fact?
Taksh:
My name is Taksh and I’m 10 years old.
B: So what got you into Early Harvest?
T:
My teacher got an email for Early Harvest and gave us all copies, and I applied.
B: Ah nice. Also, I noticed you have an ear piercing! Did it hurt?T:
Nah.
B: Damn, you’re brave! What are your hobbies?T:
I like to play downball, soccer and cricket.
B: What’s your favourite?T:
Cricket.
B: Do you play interschool sports? Are you on the team?T:
Yeah, we’re training for it at the moment.
B: I hope you guys get into the finals! What do you like most so far about Early Harvest?T:
The book trailer.
B: Are you going to be in it?T:
Yeah we all are.
B: Okay random jump. What is your favourite subject at school?T:
P.E.
B: How about reading, writing…T:
Maths.
B: To be honest, I like maths most too. Okay two more questions. What’s your favourite animal and colour?T:
Favourite colour: blue and favourite animal: cheetah.
B: And if you could do one impossible thing, what would it be?T:
Fly.

Early Harvest
is a dynamic after-school program that brings together an editorial team of upper-primary students from Melbourne’s west, and provides them with mentoring and workshops to publish an issue of the yearly literary journal.The 2016 issue of
Early Harvest
will be released on
Wednesday 9th November
, with all profits going back to 100 Story Building’s free literacy programs.
