Case Study: Maribyrnong City Council

Maribyrnong City Council partnered with 100 Story Building to consult with middle years children on the thematic underpinnings of the Council’s Strategy for Young People, based on the ARACY Nest framework. Our partnership centred on workshops run by 100 Story Building facilitators to gather data and responses from seven classes of young people in the middle years age group.

100 Story Building designed and delivered a series of workshops focused on the following ARACY Nest domains of well-being:

Being Healthy (in relation to physical and mental health)

Being Loved and Safe (emotional safety and positive

connection with others)

The workshops gave young people opportunities to explore their ideas on these themes and how they fit into their own lives. Their responses provide a comprehensive sense of how Maribyrnong’s young people perceive these aspects of their lives.
